I am one of five writers who post weekly content over at The Today Voice. Over the last five weeks, it’s been enjoyable to read each writer’s unique perspective surrounding the weekly prompt. Now that we’ve made it past the first few introductory themes, I feel that the prompts will become more personal, and much more interesting to write.
This week’s theme is: Write about the five moments that changed your life. At first I thought that it would be a fairly easy piece to write, after all, if you’ve read this blog much, it’s no secret that my life has had it’s fair share of twists and turns. But once I sat down to jot down my thoughts, I realized that trying to pinpoint five turning points in my life was a much more difficult task than what I first imagined it would be. What finally ended up on paper really surprised me, as I found myself once again writing about something I didn’t even know I was ready to share.
This has happened several times before, when something that I felt was too sensitive of a subject to address, all of the sudden came pouring out of me. When something like that occurs, it’s both frightening and a relief – all at the same time.
I welcome you to check out this week’s Today Voice post, and if your feeling extra honest, perhaps you too could share a life altering moment from your life.
P.S. If you enjoy my post, you will definitely enjoy this week’s post from the other Today Voice authors (of course, if don’t enjoy my posts, you may be looking for another blog to read, and while that would really stink, I think you should look no further, because these truly are some of my favorite bloggers)
